It´s Tea time





Tea time is an ancient tradition in Britain. Since 1662, the date in wich "Tea time"it became fashionable by Catalina de Borgoña, Charles III wife, who was major tea consumer. But was in 19th century when it sets tea time by Duchess of Bedford. One day, she felt very dizzy and ordered a cup of tea,that made feel better so since that moment she became meeting to her friends at tea time all afternoons over three p.m to five, more or less.
Tea is accompanied by little sandwiches, biscuits and a variety of pastries, including the famous "Scones".


"The scones" are rolls that you can eat with strawberry marmalade or if you don´t like this one,you could put another one and very important to put the famous "clotted cream" in them. The mixture between marmalade and cream it´s fabulous.
Normally, the kind of tea that it used to served is black tea from variety earl grey or a black mixture teas with a milk jag and a slice of lemon.

If you like tea and would you like to have an "Afternoon Tea" in the most famous hotels in London like "Ritz" or "The Savoy" you must reserve a table for that and it´s very important to dress suit and tie. It could cost over 40 pounds per person,but if you want to live news and tipicals experiences, you should visit one of this places and try.
